Emirates Group reports 8% workforce growth in its 2025–26 results
The group-wide total reached 130,919 employees; the global figure needs a different reading from UAE-only hiring.
The Emirates Group reported on 7 May 2026 that its total workforce had grown by 8 per cent to 130,919 employees during the financial year ending 31 March. The figure covers the group’s global operations, including Emirates and dnata, rather than UAE-only hiring. The release also said its UAE national workforce had passed 4,000.
These results describe a completed reporting period. They offer evidence of the scale of a major Dubai-based employer group, while leaving the status of individual vacancies to current recruitment information. For jobseekers and employers, the useful distinction is between organisational growth, a particular occupation and the location where that work is performed.

A global total is not a local vacancy count
Large employer groups operate through different businesses and locations. A group workforce figure cannot establish how many jobs are currently open in Dubai, or whether a specific applicant is eligible. Net workforce growth is also different from the number of people recruited during a year because staff can leave or move between roles.
Candidates can make their research more accurate by identifying the legal employer, business unit and work location in each advertisement. Two roles under a familiar group name may have different responsibilities and selection processes. Saving the exact vacancy reference helps keep these distinctions visible.
Choose the work before polishing the application
Aviation and travel groups include work with passengers, cargo, catering, technology and business operations. Those categories are useful starting points for research, not a claim that this results announcement creates a vacancy in each one. The actual job description should decide which examples a candidate presents.
An applicant can explain one relevant contribution in clear terms: the problem, their own action and the result. For technical or operational work, describe the tools and review process accurately. For customer-facing work, show how communication and judgement helped resolve a real situation without revealing private customer information.
Keep corporate news and recruitment separate
A results release may remain online long after its reporting date. An active application route should show the current role and its requirements. Candidates should check the employer’s own careers information and avoid treating an old announcement, shared screenshot or third-party message as an offer.
When a development programme has a defined audience, confirm its eligibility directly. The reported number of UAE national employees is a separate workforce measure; it does not imply that all group roles are restricted to nationals or that every national-development programme is currently accepting applications.
What a growing employer needs to explain
For hiring teams, scale makes clarity more important. Job descriptions should show the team, location, required experience and next stage of assessment. Candidates should be able to tell whether they are applying for an approved role or registering interest for later consideration.
Growth also creates a need for consistent induction and internal progression. Explaining how new staff are supported can help experienced applicants assess the opportunity and help first-time applicants understand the standards expected. The annual results provide the business context; a credible recruitment process supplies the practical details.
